Living a creative life

I haven’t done much posting of art lately, I’ve been pretty busy with my GelMoment business but I thought it would be nice to do an update and share some of the previous collages that I haven’t shared here yet.
I hope you enjoy them, they are super fun to create.
How I create my collages – I start with the imagery, which I cut from magazines, papers, books or quite often I purchase from funky graphic artists like my friend Nancy, I even recycle and use my own art. Using my own art is a lot of fun, it’s kind of weird seeing my own art from a previous painting come to life in a different way by being mixed up and used with different bodies etc.,
Here’s some examples of an original piece of art and a collage piece using the same ‘head’ haha.
Then there’s the pencil cases, this one now lives with Shirley Henry, my friend from Sydney.

Hi Everyone,
Well it’s June – almost half way through 2017! Doesn’t time fly?!
I want to tell you a little more about my month – There’s been some HIGH highs and some LOW lows this month. A very topsy turvy month indeed.
Lets start with the HIGHS – I was thrilled to reach the Number 3 spot in GelMoment’s worldwide leaderboard – So a BIG thank you to all my GelMoment customers and Hostesses, without you all this wouldn’t have been possible. #Gratitude I also received another invitation into the companies exclusive group, the Inner Circle where a small group of us get to chat to our CEO personally to discuss future business, product development and exciting but SECRET things – that’s pretty cool and a BIG HONOUR :)For the month of June GelMoment have introduced a fabulous sign up kit, that comes with all the things you need to get started using our polish and for marketing your business if you choose to do that.. there’s NO obligation – just a fantastic opportunity – check out the amazing start up package below…. Only $99au to get started! As usual you can visit my website to join or contact me for more information – http://www.lorri.gelmoment.com
I introduced new members to the team, and together & individually we are buiding our businesses. This includes setting up at trade events, markets etc., and what a LOT of fun that is.. sharing the GelMoment “WOW” faces with new team members is so exciting.
It’s such a fabulous product, and also a great opportunity for not only purchasing products at discounted pricing as a distributor, but for being able to have an amazing and healthier product on your nails.
This month I also saw the passing of a very dear friend, who I had met while having my first daughter Rebecca as she too, gave birth to her firstborn son Bryan. Together we also celebrated the birth of my 2nd daughter Amy and her 2nd son Troy, then along came her 3rd son Sam. I stopped at 2 girls 🙂 2 very beautiful girls that filled my heart with such joy that I didn’t need anymore teehee
It was such a sad situation, and grief strikes us all so differently – I have those ‘days’ where I do struggle, but I try my best to remain positive and look for whatever silver lining I can, I’m struggling to see one by losing a close friend. I’m grateful though to beautiful friends and family that have supported me through this and I know I’m going to Miss my friend forever, just as I miss my Mum and others that have passed.
I wrote a special poem for her 🙁
Life however, does go on and I am keeping myself busy with my art and GelMoment, so distraction is always a good therapy!
I’ve created a new collage -so I will share it here for you. I’ve also been learning to do some videos (yup, scary scary) But I want to be brave and share my passions with the world and that means YOU! So I’ve pulled up my brave girl pants and am doing it.. stay tuned to see those. Some of you may have seen some on my facebook pages already. Oh talking facebook, I now have my Gelmoment feed appearing here on my website! So you can be one click away from connecting with me there.
